ENT & A is a secure school portal for participating schools. It enables authorized parents and guardians to access school information relating to their children and enables authorized teachers and administrators to access school information according to their roles and permissions.

This Privacy Policy explains how the ENT & A mobile application (“ENT & A”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) accesses, collects, uses, stores, protects, and discloses information.

ENT & A is operated by ENTANDA. Participating schools are generally responsible for the student and academic records they provide through the App. ENT & A processes this information to operate the parent portal and provide the requested services.

1. Information We Process

Depending on the participating school and enabled features, we may process:

User account information: username, first name, last name, school affiliation, user role, internal account identifiers, authentication credentials, and session tokens.
Student and educational information: student name, class, grades, averages, bulletins, attendance and absences, observations, homework, agenda entries, schedules, events, circulars, documents, and other school-provided information.
Notification and device information: Expo push notification token, device name when available, account and school identifiers associated with the device, and notification read or deletion status.
Support information: information included when a user contacts the school or ENT & A for assistance.
Technical and security information: information reasonably required to authenticate users, secure the service, troubleshoot errors, and prevent unauthorized access.

The App does not use personal information for third-party advertising and does not sell personal or student information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

Display school information authorized for the user’s role, including parent-linked student information and staff-authorized classes, subjects, and school data.
Authenticate users and maintain secure sessions.
Connect each account to the correct participating school.
Display information relating to the authorized user’s children.
Provide grades, attendance, homework, agenda, calendar, documents, and school notices.
Send school and service-related push notifications.
Maintain notification read and deletion status.
Provide support, diagnose problems, and protect the service.
Comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.

3. How Information Is Disclosed

Information may be disclosed only in the following limited circumstances:

Participating schools: The relevant school and its authorized personnel may access information needed to administer school accounts and records.
Service providers: We may use hosting, infrastructure, and notification providers solely to operate the App. Push notifications may be processed through Expo, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Apple Push Notification service, depending on the user’s device.
Legal and safety requirements: Information may be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, schools, the service, or others.
Business changes: If responsibility for ENT & A is transferred to another organization, information may be transferred subject to appropriate privacy protections and notice where required.

We do not sell personal information and do not disclose student information for advertising or unrelated marketing.

4. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Data transmitted between the App and our production service is sent over HTTPS encryption.

No internet-connected system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should protect their login credentials, secure their devices, and notify the school or ENT & A if they suspect unauthorized access.

5. Data Retention

Account and school information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain security, satisfy the participating school’s administrative or recordkeeping requirements, and comply with applicable law.

Push notification tokens may be retained while the device remains registered for notifications and may be removed or replaced when the user logs out, disables notifications, changes devices, or when the account is deactivated.

Some academic or administrative records may need to be retained by the participating school even after an App account is deactivated.

6. Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests

Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of eligible personal information by contacting their participating school or using the privacy contact below.

Requests may require identity verification. Certain student, academic, financial, security, backup, or legally required records may not be immediately deleted where retention is required or permitted by law or by the participating school’s legitimate administrative obligations.

7. Children’s Information

ENT & A is designed for authorized parents, guardians, teachers, and school administrators. It is not intended for independent use by young children. Student information is made available only through authorized school-issued accounts and should be accessed only by the intended parent, guardian, or authorized school user.

8. Push Notifications

With the user’s device permission, ENT & A sends school-related push notifications. Users can control notification permissions through their device settings. Disabling notifications does not prevent users from opening the App and viewing available information.

9. International Processing

Service providers used to operate ENT & A may process technical or notification information in countries other than the user’s country. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards appropriate to the information being processed.

10. Third-Party Links and Files

The App may contain school-provided links or files. External websites and services operate under their own privacy practices, and ENT & A is not responsible for the privacy practices of unrelated third parties.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its services, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
